Thanks for the comment. Huge does have an awesome site too. It uses colour, typography and white space especially well!

I have to agree though that I&#039;m often turned off by darker sites, mainly because they get difficult to look at the more time you spend.

		<description>Great post.  It&#039;s not that there are no benchmarks; it&#039;s that they&#039;re too simplistic.  I&#039;d like to break the rule about keeping copy short online or in emails.  

I think that, just as in direct mail, the copy (letter copy) should be just as long as it needs to be.  I bet that long copy will sometimes win, i.e. motivate action, over short copy.  It just needs to be the right copy.  I&#039;m just sayin&#039;.</description>
